Initial Assessment Foot Care

Professional foot care provided by a Registered Nurse. This appointment includes an initial health history, a comprehensive foot assessment and care planning, nail trimming, thick nail reduction, callus and corn care, and the application of professional foot care cream. 

Routine Follow-up Foot Care

Professional foot care provided by a Registered Nurse. This routine follow-up appointment includes nail trimming, reduction of thick nails, callus and corn care, and ongoing monitoring of foot health. 

Ideal for regular maintenance between full assessments. 

High Risk / Diabetic Foot Care

High-risk foot care provided by a Registered Nurse. This service is intended for individuals with diabetes, poor circulation, thick or difficult nails, or other more complex foot concerns that require longer sessions. 

Care may include nail trimming, reduction of thickened nails, callus and corn care, and monitoring of skin integrity and circulation.

Ingrown Toenail

Treatment for ingrown or involuted toenails using the Onyfix nail correction system. Onyfix is a non-invasive, pain-free method that gently guides the nail to grow in a natural shape over time without cutting or surgery.

This treatment is suitable for sensitive clients, including those with diabetes and children. A full assessment is included to ensure safe and appropriate care.

Toenail Reconstruction and Involuted Nails

Using the Onyfix Nail Correction System, involuted (Pincer) nails can be guided into a more natural shape. Some treatments may require two, sometimes three applications if conditions are severe. Book a consultation today, and our team will create a custom care plan that works for you.

The Onyfix Nail Correction System is also used for managing cracked, broken, or even damaged nails to help to bring the nail back to a more aligned shape.

ToeFX Light Therapy

ToeFX® Light Therapy is a Health Canada-cleared, drug-free treatment for fungal toenails. Treatment begins with a comprehensive consultation and professional nail debridement to assess your nails and determine if ToeFX is right for you. If appropriate, you'll receive a personalized treatment plan consxisting of bi-weekly light therapy sessions during the active treatment phase, followed by maintenance treatments to support healthy nail growth throughout the nail's natural growth cycle. ToeFX treatments are provided exclusively at Standing Cedars Integrative Health in Sooke.

Foot care services provided by a Registered Nurse may qualify as a medical expense for income tax purposes. Coverage may also be available through extended health benefits, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), and RCMP health benefits. Please check your provider or tax professional.
